Quiescent Optical Solitons for the Concatenation Model with Nonlinear Chromatic Dispersion

چکیده

This paper recovers quiescent optical solitons that are self-sustaining, localized wave packets maintain their shape and amplitude over long distances due to a balance between nonlinearity dispersion. When soliton is in state of quiescence, it means stationary both space time. Quiescent typically observed fibers, where dispersion can lead the formation solitons. The concatenation model considered understand behavior pulses propagating through nonlinear media. Here, we consider familiar Schrödinger equation, Lakshmanan–Porsezian–Daniel Sasa–Satsuma equation. current also addresses with chromatic dispersion, phenomenon occurs fibers other dispersive media, material modified by effects. In presence nonlinearities, such as self-phase modulation cross-phase modulation, coefficient becomes function intensity, resulting A full spectrum solitons, along straddled obtained. There four integration schemes made this retrieval possible. numerical simulations included for these parameter constraints indicate existence criteria

Asymptotic Analysis for Dispersion-managed Optical Solitons

The higher order multiple-scale asymptotic analysis is carried out for the Gabitov-Turitsyn equation that governs the propagation of dispersionmanaged solitons through optical fibers. The polarization preserving fibers as well as birefringent fibers are considered in this paper. Finally, the study is extended to the case of multiple channels. Nonlinear theory of polarization-mode dispersion for fiber solitons.

We consider the evolution of optical solitons inside a nonlinear dispersive fiber with random birefringence, causing polarization-mode dispersion. We convert the pair of coupled nonlinear Schrödinger equations satisfied by the orthogonally polarized components into a Fokker-Planck equation using the collective-variable approach. We solve this equation and derive expressions for the probability ...

Dispersion management with microstructured optical fibers: ultraflattened chromatic dispersion with low losses.

We numerically demonstrate ultraflattened chromatic dispersion with low losses in microstructured optical fibers (MOFs). We propose using two different MOF structures to get this result. Both structures are based on a subset of a triangular array of cylindrical air holes; the cross sections of these inclusions are circular, and a missing hole in the fiber's middle forms the core. In this MOF st...

Dark optical solitons near the zero-dispersion wavelength.

Propagation of a dark optical soliton is investigated in the neighborhood of the zero-group-dispersion wavelength. Analytical results are obtained in the small-amplitude limit when the soliton is described by the Korteweg-de Vries equation. It is predicted that dark solitons may exist near the zero-group-dispersion point, and the region is found where they are unstable and may be transformed in...
